Knossos Palace - Heraklion - Archaeological Museum

Almost 4,500 years ago, the first European civilization, Minoan, was born in Crete. Until the 20th century, it was considered a myth until the legendary archaeologist Arthur Evans unearthed the center of this civilization - the Knossos Palace, which is now considered one of the main attractions of Greece and the whole world. The legends about King Minos, Theseus, Ariadne and Minotaur are connected with this place, known to us from childhood. During this excursion, you can visit this palace and imagine how people lived in that distant time.

This excursion route includes a visit to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, which has no analogues in the world. Exhibition halls with unique artifacts will guide you through all the pages of Minoan history.

At the end, a visit to the city of Heraklion (which is the capital of the island) is planned. Here you will get acquainted with such sights as the Venetian Loggia, the Morosini fountain in Lion Square, Titus Cathedral and the Kules Fortress.

The group will also have free time to walk around the historic city center.
