Stunning beaches

Greek coasts are synonymous with bliss and carefree vacations. Taking into consideration the number of Greek islands, there is a great variety to choose from. The diversity of Greek beaches can satisfy the most discerning beach lovers: paradise - like golden beaches, pristine wild beaches, unique red and black beaches, secluded bays and secret coves.

Corfu

Canal D' Amour Beach – a romantic heaven!

At the left end of the beach of Sidari (36 km from Corfu Town) you will find spectacular sandstone formations with tiny bays and caves and the Canal D' Amour (channel of love), which is really a tunnel in between two rocks. As legend has it, whoever swims across the canal will definitely find his destined life mate. Next to the canal is a stunning Blue Flag sandy beach. The beach is ideal for diving. 

Kos

Mastihari Beach – an exotic treasure!

This organized beach set 27 km to the south of Kos Town and 3 km to the north of Antimahia boasts crystal clear emerald waters and white sand with a sprinkle of shady trees. The homonymous village offers good tourist infrastructure: hotels, bars, taverns, shops and cafes. The beach is ideal for windsurfing. You can go on a boat trip to Kalymnos from the port of Mastihari Village.

Mykonos

Psarou Beach – a tranquil haven!

Psarou Beach is one of the most famous and busy beaches of Mykonos with well developed infrastructure and the best beach service, especially popular with celebrities. Threre;s even a sishi bar for the most discerning visitors. Don’t expect crazy partying on this beach. For you to know there’s a stringent face control and a waiting list for sun loungers and umbrellas in August. Psarou Beach is perfect for water sports and tanning. It lies next to Platis Gialos Beach and 4 km from Mykonos Town.

Santorini

Red Beach – majestic scenery!

Red beach is set in a great location a few steps away from the ancient site of Akrotiri. The beach is unique due to the red colour of its sand and spectacular rocky red lava cliffs. The beach can be reached either by boat (from Perissa and Akrotiri or by foot (a few minute walk from Akrotiri). The beach is ideal for snorkeling. Besides, you can bring home some pretty pebbles from this beach.

Kefalonia

Myrtos Beach – postcard beauty!

Myrtos Beach, the landmark of Kefalonia, set between two mountains - Agia Dynami and Kalon Oros lies 30 km to the north of Argostoli. Due to its spectacular setting the Blue Flag Myrtos Beach is included in the best beaches in Greece and worldwide. The beach has a semi-circular shape surrounded by impressive white rocky cliffs with lush vegetation. The beach with fine white pebbles and incredibly clear waters boasts good infrastructure, though there are some tranquil spots. The beach is easily accessible. When descending to the beach you will have an opportunity to admire fantastic views. Reveal your romantic side watching a stunning sunset on the beach.

 

Rhodes

Saint Paul’s Bay – an amazing wedding destination!

St Paul Bay is located at the bottom of Lindos Village. It’s a popular wedding destination offering breathtaking views. There are two beaches where you can hire sun loungers and umbrellas and a little cute chapel on one side of the bay dedicated to Saint Paul, who is believed to have shipwrecked off the Rhodian coast. Head for this beach if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Lindos.

 

Crete

Balos Beach – an exotic lagoon!

Balos Lagoon is located 15 km from Kissamos and 53 km from Chania. It is accessible by boat from the port of Kissamos or you drive a car till a certain point and then walk to the beach. The lagoon located between Gramvousa Peninsula and Cape Tigani will definitely take your breath away offering majestic unspoiled scenery, all shades of blue, and warm shallow waters.

 

Zakynthos

Shipwreck Beach – an adventurous experience!

Shipwreck Beach (Navagio Beach) is one of the most photographed beaches in the world featuring an impressive rusty ship. The beach is accessible only by boat from Laganas and Zakynthos Town. If you depart from Agios Nikolaos Volimon you get a chance to visit the Blue Caves on your way to Shipwreck Beach. It looks its best from above, offering incredible scenery. In order to enjoy the bird’s eye views of the beach you can rent a car or a motorbike.

 

Thassos

Saliara – a unique marble beach!

Saliara, a small exotic beach, is located on the northeastern shore of Thassos, south of Makryammos Beach, 5 km from Limenas. It features white pebbles and crystal clear aquamarine waters. It’s an organized beach and features a parking lot.

 

Pieria

Platamonas Beach – a beach with the medieval flavor!

Picturesque Platamonas Beach is located at the foot of the Byzantine Castle of Platamon, 25 km to the southeast of Mount Olympus, 38 km to the south of Katerini in Pieria. It’s mostly sandy and organized featuring numerous beach bars, cafes and taverns. There are some options for water sports and several lifeguards on duty.

 

Halkidiki

Kavourotripes – a byword for paradise!

Indeed, so superior are its beaches, so emerald its waters and so picturesque its landscapes that Halkidiki is called “the paradise of Greece”.

Kavourotripes, located 23 km to the south of Vourvourou, is a long rocky coastline on the eastern side of Sithonia featuring cute sandy beaches. The area represents one of the last strongholds of free camping on Sithonia. Actually, only one beach is organized – Portokali Beach (Orange Beach). In order to get to it, follow the road signs to the beach bar Portokali.

 

Lefkada

Egremni Beach – one of the top beaches in the world!

Egremni Beach stretching for 2,5 km and boasting remarkably blue clear waters and white sand is on the World’s 100 Best Beaches list. It is located close to Athani Village about 30 km from Lefkada Town. You will have to descend 347 steep steps in order to reach the beach from the parking lot. The beach is surrounded by scenic white cliffs and is also famous for spectacular sunsets.

 

Peloponnese

Voidokilia – a Peloponnesian treasure!

Having a peculiar shape of the Greek letter Ω, this beach belongs to the most beautiful beaches in Greece.  It’s located next to Petrohori, 4 km from Gialova and 14 km from Pylos, Messinia. You can enjoy a stunning view of the beach from Palaiokastro (a 20 minute walk), a 13th century medieval castle, located to the south of the beach.
