Виїзд із:
Пелопоннес-Аркадія

One of the most historically rich excursions offered in Greece. During this tour you will get acquainted with the three stages of development of Greek civilization. The ancient city of Mycenae is the birthplace of king Agamemnon, the leader of the Hellenes during the Trojan War. You will see the ancient city, including the “Lion Gate”, the royal burial of the XVI-XV centuries BC, discovered by the famous archaeologist Schliemann, the palace of the Mycenaean kings and the famous "tomb of Agamemnon." Driving through the Argolis valley with orange gardens, you will find yourself in the first capital of independent Greece, the city of Nafplion. There you will visit the Church of St. George, in which the coronation of the first Greek king Otto took place. Nafplion is one of the most charismatic and picturesque cities of the Peloponnese, which is also called the "city of three fortresses": the medieval fortress "Palamidi", the ancient fortress "Akronavplia", the Ottoman "Brudzi". The next stage of our journey is Epidaurus. This historic city is famous for two attractions: the sanctuary of the god of healing Asclepius and the ancient Greek theater with amazing acoustics. Both monuments are included in the UNESCO World Heritage. Asklepion - the ancient "sanatorium". It was a cross between the temple and the hospital - the afflicted came here to bow to the god Asclepius and improve his health. The ancient Greeks believed that first you need to heal the soul of a person, and then the body. It is not surprising that in the territory of the sanctuary of Asklepion there is a grandiose antique theater of Epidaurus, built in the 4th century BC: 55 tiers for spectators can accommodate up to 14 thousand people, and the magnificent scenery is a natural decoration. The theater has amazing acoustics: artists work on the stage of this theater without microphones, and the sound of a falling coin is heard on the top row. Famous opera and pop singers of our time from around the world consider it a great honor to perform on the stage of Epidaurus. Finishing the journey, you will stop at the famous Corinth Canal, thanks to which the Peloponnese finally became an island in the late 19th century.
