The apparent advantage of the ski resort of Bansko is marked and well-groomed pistes of various difficulty levels (6 blue, 9 red and 2 black) with a total length of about 75 km.
These pistes are intended both for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to the most experienced, and all categories of complexity, with the main road Tomba and Banderitza - for experts. The ski area is located on two picturesque peaks of Pirin mountain with a height of more than 2900 m.
Beginners-skiers and snowboarders will feel confident in the simple wide pistes, which are quite a lot in Bansko. For beginners are recommended the next pistes: Plato-1, Shiligarnik-1 and Shiligarnik-2.
Skiers with a middle level of training can ski almost at all pistes in Bansko. Fans of long runs will appreciate Banderitza track (4860 m). Professionals can work out on the track of Alberto Tomba (1470 m.), or ride on the prepared for them 750 km of virgin land.
Snowboarders also always find in Bansko slopes suitable for themselves. Snowboard Park and half-pipe at the resort of Bansko are built especially for snowboarders, where they will be able to practice their stunts and jumps.
Cross-country ski length of 4 km and 2 are located in the vicinity of "Banderishka Polyana". Also 2 km from the city, at 1,050 m above sea level, there is the track for cross-country skiing of 3 km long.
